It’s always preferable to have an original piece of furniture that something everyone has. It’s particularly easy to do that with coffee tables because there are so many different designs. Today we came across a very interesting coffee table, one that we have never encountered before. It’s a very original and ingenious coffee table that was crafted from a whiskey barrel.
This coffee table once used to be a fixture in a Tennessee distillery. It used to serve as a whiskey barrel, a common item but not something you would include in your home décor. After it did its time as a whiskey barrel, this item was turned into a very beautiful and original coffee table, a wonderful furniture piece for the house. The repurposed whiskey barrel was made of oak wood, a strong and durable material. As you can imagine, the coffee table had to be hand crafted.
The whiskey barrel got a spacious tabletop and it currently includes a generous storage area as well. The idea was ingenious and clever and the result was this unique piece of furniture that would look wonderful in any décor. The table costs $795 and it measures 18-1/4″H x 42-1/4″L x 31-1/2″W. It’s all made of one piece and it adds a rustic charm to the room. It has a vintage look both because of the design and the fact that it was made from a barrel.
