Glass is a very popular material when it comes to furniture, almost as popular as wood. It’s widely used in modern designs because of its simplicity, versatility and capacity to to look delicate and sophisticated without sacrificing durability and strength. The following examples illustrate that each in their own way.

The Cosimo desk was designed by Marco Zanuso and is available in two different versions. One has a clear glass top at the center and two drawers on each side and the other has a MDF top plus the two drawers. It has a chromed metal frame and the drawers are made of either white-lacquered MDF or wenge-stained oak veneer.{found on adentro}.

The Elipse table has a walnut wood base and a barrel-shaped tempered glass top. The top and the base are connected at one single point at the center of the table. The base then forms 4 solid feet in an asymmetrical design and available in three finishes: walnut, white with a lacquered finish or gray with a glossy look.

Tibidabo is a table designed by Calvi Brambilla. It has a stainless steel frame with synthetic fiber weaving, polypropylene feet and a top which can be made of three different materials: glass in which case it has a gray tint, hpl in which case it’s either white with a black edge or black with a white edge and quartz.

Also modern and simple but with a more casual allure, the Arena table has a base designed the same way as the one for the Tibidabo table (powder-coated aluminum and sybthetic fiber weaving). The top is made of transparent tempered glass.

For the kitchen, a stylish option could be a glass counter. The Ecosat no-scratch worktop is simple and suitable for tables and both kitchen and bathroom tops and work surfaces. The surface is finely textured, scratch-resistant, stain-proof and reflective. It can be strengthen, lacquered or silvered.{found on vitrealspecchi}.
