Renovations are always fun to watch. They’re also frustrating but it’s the workers and the clients who have to deal with that. We’re here just to see the final results and to compare them to the before pictures. This is a bungalow located in Austin, Texas.
It belongs to Brit and Dan who decided to make some changes in order to make the place seem more inviting and home-like. They also wanted to open-up the place so now they turned it into a large and open living room/kitchen/dining room area.
The home is very well planned and is to be expected after a drastic renovation when walls and taken down and the whole décor is changed. The home is now more spacious, functional but also modern. During the renovation, many changes have been made. Still, some of the original features have been preserved just as a reminder of the original design.
The whole renovation process tool about 8 months. Originally, the bungalow didn’t look that bad. It had a great central location, beautiful pine floors, newer heating and AC and a newer roof. It had potential and this is visible in the after pictures. It also had some very beautiful features such as wooden walls, the handcrafted doors and the original hardware. It was a great canvas for creative minds. The new home is very beautiful.It has a more modern design and a bright and inviting décor. It really feels like home now.{found on designsponge}
