If there is one place to use patterns in the house, it’s definitely the bathroom. Bright bold designs or even small, delicate patterns can freshen up and liven a smaller space. Bathrooms are fun to experiment with too since they aren’t the “face” of the house, you can be super playful in your decorating. Take a look around at some fun patterns and inspiration to use in your bathrooms at home!

Florals are near perfect for any bathroom. Whether you decide to go super bold or extra girly, floral patterns fill a bathroom with smooth style and relaxed vibes. Using wallpaper to create an entirely new look and feel is one option. But if you’re super artistic and crafty yourself you can always hand-paint some wonderful flowers too! I happen to love florals in the background of a vintage tub or dawning the shower in beautiful linens.

Stripes are another great option that will take your bathroom to the next level. They can be bright and bold, cute and artistic, over-the-top fun or even modern and sophisticated. Depending of the size of the space depends on whether you should go vertical or horizontal, so before you start painting or decaling make sure you know whether you want to lengthen or widen the bathroom. Have fun with colors too, classic combinations like black and white can be super eclectic or very posh.

Polka-dots work great too. For a light and whimsical space, try out these precious dots on the walls or linens. Perfect for the kids bathroom or even guest’s space, polka-dots play well with other patterns and designs too. It’s fun if you mix the spots with florals and it’ll be super spunky with some stripes!

And finally, we have chevron, the weird sister to the stripes. Not quite stripes and not quite “zig-zags,” chevron is one of the coolest new trends around. So, give your bathroom some personality with some chevron curtains, towels or walls! Again, this is another patterns that plays well with other designs. My favorite? Combining chevron with a bit of florals make for some fun and fearless decor! You can get a lot of inspiration from World Market-esque rooms, since this type of patterns looks great with a lot of multi-cultural decorations. It also looks perfect on tile floors!
